Europe MédiaLab identifies and pre-selects qualifying technology organisations for the Trusted European Platforms label.
HOW IT WORKS
A. Initial contact and information exchange with the organisation.
B. The organisation receives a brief overview of the TEPs label, its criteria, and the assessment process.
C. The Team gathers public-source information, complemented by a preliminary information package: corporate structure, user metrics, revenue model, regulatory status.
A. Verification of eligibility conditions (see §2).
B. Desk research by Europe MédiaLab drawing on public sources and the preliminary information package.
C. Preparation of a shortlist of organisations that advance to the criteria pre-assessment.
A. Request and verification of private data shared by the organisation (governance, owners, management).
B. Preliminary scoring against scoring board, with a recommendation for the Committee.
C. Preparation of the assessment dossier.
The Committee reviews dossiers, deliberates, and votes on whether to award the label. Three possible outcomes:
✅ Label Awarded
The organisation may use the TEPs label and associated mark, entering the monitoring cycle.
🟩 Label Awarded with Conditions
Specific improvements are required within a defined timeframe; the Team monitors progress.
🟨 Label Not Awarded at this Stage
Oral feedback is provided to the organisation. The organisation can try again.
The procedure culminates with the award ceremony where the organisations who obtained the label will be awarded and announced publicy.
